How To Use

WooCommerce is an eCommerce solution that is designed for use in the WordPress interface. Fishbowl integrates with WooCommerce to populate its shopping cart with product quantities, and other information while also speeding up the order fulfillment process. This integration is available in the form of an embedded Fishbowl plugin.

Benefits of Fishbowl's Integration with WooCommerce

Import Orders: WooCommerce transfers information about orders to Fishbowl for immediate processing and fast order fulfillment.
Export Orders: Fishbowl can export information about sales orders to WooCommerce at any time through its scheduling tool.
Synchronize Products: Make sure products are referred to by the same names in Fishbowl and WooCommerce through Fishbowl’s product synchronization feature.
Synchronize Inventory: Schedule regular inventory syncs to record all sales in Fishbowl and WooCommerce and have the latest inventory quantities to work with.

When you integrate Fishbowl and WooCommerce, you ensure that each system updates the other shortly after a sale is made and a sales order is fulfilled. Fishbowl’s WooCommerce integration works much like every other eCommerce platform it integrates with.

Users are invited to schedule regular order imports to ensure that new sales orders are recorded in Fishbowl. This speeds up the fulfillment process. Fishbowl then exports fulfillments to WooCommerce on a scheduled basis so that it can stay updated on the progress of its sales.

An additional benefit of Fishbowl’s integration with WooCommerce is that products can be imported and exported between the inventory management system and eCommerce platform. Not long after you add a new product to Fishbowl, it will be automatically reflected in WooCommerce, and vice versa.

Fishbowl also exports inventory quantities to WooCommerce. This enables customers to see which items are in stock, and it helps you avoid accidentally overselling items.

Installing WooCommerce in Fishbowl Advanced is easy. To get started, go to the Plugin module in the Integrations module group, find WooCommerce, and click its Install button. You’ll be informed that you have to restart the Fishbowl Server before it will appear as a module. Go ahead and do that. Reopen the Fishbowl Client when that’s done and go to the WooCommerce module under Integrations.

Once the easy part is done, you can get into the nitty-gritty details of setting up the integration. Follow the 12 steps laid out in Fishbowl’s WooCommerce documentation article. The first eight must be done in your WordPress dashboard, and they enable Fishbowl to access your website’s REST API. This API connection is crucial for making updates to your online store. The last four steps are completed in the Fishbowl Client.

Only an administrator on your site (such as a manager or software developer) will be able to perform all of the tasks required to set up the integration. Be sure to copy your Store URL, Consumer Key, and Consumer Secret from the WordPress dashboard. You’ll need to enter those credentials into the WooCommerce module in Fishbowl.

In Fishbowl, you must enable meta data mapping in order to import detailed information on orders, products, and customers from WooCommerce. After you save those settings and test the connection, you should be good to go. You can start importing sales orders, product images, and other specific data from WooCommerce into your Fishbowl inventory management system.

If you prefer, you can also integrate with WooCommerce through a plugin called Fishbowl Commerce. This acts as a funnel that connects you to numerous eCommerce stores, including Amazon, BigCommerce, Shopify, and Walmart. For Fishbowl Drive users, this is the only way to integrate with WooCommerce since it doesn’t have a standalone plugin for it.
