Fishbowl, the #1 manufacturing and warehouse management solution for QuickBooks, integrates with QuickBooks Online via a built-in Fishbowl Plugin that allows for a seamless connection. For desktop and online versions of QuickBooks, Fishbowl has you covered.

Benefits of Fishbowl's Integration with Intuit QuickBooks Online

Seamless Integration: Fishbowl seamlessly integrates with QuickBooks Online, allowing Fishbowl users to quickly update accounting records and make changes to the general ledger.
No More Double Data Entry: : With Fishbowl's integration with QuickBooks Online, you don't have to manually enter data in both systems. Instead, you schedule regular data exports to the online accounting solution.

Purchase Orders, Sales Orders & Accepting Payments

Purchase Orders: Fishbowl lets you create and process purchase orders, and when those purchase orders are fulfilled and reconciled, it transfers them to QuickBooks Online to make the new accounting entries, allowing you to pay your bills accurately.
Sales Orders: : Fishbowl takes care of the sales order, picking, packing, shipping, and other aspects of inventory management. Then it tells QuickBooks Online to create the customer invoice and to make accounting adjustments to various accounts, such as inventory assets, cost of goods sold, and income.
Accepting Payments: When Fishbowl accepts payments from customers, it sends them right along to QuickBooks Online.

New Contacts, Inventory & Manufacturing Adjustments

New Contacts: When a new customer or vendor is added to Fishbowl, it is also added to QuickBooks Online.
Inventory Adjustments: All inventory adjustments, such as cycle counts, scrapped inventory, and returns, made in Fishbowl are automatically sent to QuickBooks Online.
Manufacturing Adjustments: Completed work orders are posted to the general ledger in QuickBooks Online, which enables manufacturers to keep track of changes to their raw materials and finished goods.

Fishbowl’s QuickBooks integration enables you to match up your inventory management and accounting records.

The specific QuickBooks Online versions that Fishbowl integrates with are QuickBooks Online Plus and Advanced. Those are the only two versions of QuickBooks Online that have the necessary features to enable the recording of purchase orders and other transactions in inventory journal entries. In addition, Fishbowl supports international versions of QuickBooks Online.

Since QuickBooks Online does not need to be downloaded onto a computer like QuickBooks Desktop, it can be accessed on any operating system, including Windows, Mac, and Linux. No matter which operating system you have downloaded the Fishbowl Server and Client onto, you will be able to integrate with QuickBooks Online.

To integrate with QuickBooks Online Plus or Advanced, follow these steps:

  1. Enter the Accounting Integration module in Fishbowl Advanced, click the Configure tab, and click “Connect to QuickBooks Online.”
  2. Click “Connect to QuickBooks” to open a browser window.
  3. Enter your QuickBooks Online login credentials and click the Connect button.
  4. Map your Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Part Type Accounts between Fishbowl and QuickBooks Online.
  5. Click the Finish button.

The QuickBooks Online integration will be in place at this point. However, you will be asked to repeat these steps every 90 days because of Intuit’s security measures.
