Join The Live Big Challenge to Honor a Fallen Friend on August 16, 2014

July 14, 2014
A bike ride will be held on August 16, 2014 in honor of Bryan Byrge, a Fishbowl employee who died in a tragic bike accident earlier this year. The Live Big Challenge is in memory of Bryan Byrge, Fishbowl BlogThis ride is called the Live Big Challenge because Bryan’s motto in life was to “always live big.” He was an avid biker and he was dedicated to helping others throughout his life, so this is a perfect opportunity to honor him. All proceeds from this event will go to Bryan’s wife and children.

Three Route Options

Bicyclists of all ages and experience levels are invited to participate in the Live Big Challenge. There are three routes available: The Alpine Loop starts and ends at Fishbowl’s office located at 580 East Technology Avenue in Orem, Utah. It goes for 40 miles in a big loop through Alpine. It includes 3,500 feet of elevation climbing, so it’s not for the faint of heart. This ride begins at 6 a.m. The Flat Route has the same starting and ending point as the Alpine Loop, but it goes in a north-south direction over much less hilly terrain. It’s 24 miles long with only 452 feet of elevation climbing, so it’s a better option for less intense riders. This one begins at 7 a.m. The Memorial Ride is a nice easy ride that also starts and ends at Fishbowl’s office, and it just goes for a little over one mile over mostly flat terrain. This is a great option for little kids and families who want to participate. This one begins at 8 a.m.
