Shopify is an eCommerce platform that lets companies create a Web store, integrate with shopping carts, and sell products online. Hundreds of thousands of Shopify stores have been created, and now Fishbowl allows all of them to connect their eCommerce platform with its advanced inventory management system through a Fishbowl Plugin.
Benefits of Fishbowl's Integration with Shopify
Shopify is a popular eCommerce platform that enables you to list products, sell to customers online, accept payments, and perform other important tasks. By integrating Salesforce with Fishbowl, you will be able to generate sales orders, fulfill those sales orders, synchronize your products and inventory levels, and more.
You can both import and export products between Fishbowl and Shopify to keep them linked, both inventory counts and product images. Whether you use warehouses, 3PLs, dropshipping, or other means of selling online, you will find Fishbowl to be an ideal inventory management solution for your eCommerce business.
The great thing about integrating Fishbowl with Shopify isn’t just that you will be able to optimize your order fulfillment process. It’s also that you can integrate with every other online store you sell products through, such as Amazon, BigCommerce, eBay, and WooCommerce.
Fishbowl serves as the source of truth for your inventory counts and product information. That way, when a sales order is received in Fishbowl from Shopify, it will automatically update the inventory quantities for every item being sold. Plus, Fishbowl will export those updated available inventory quantities to all of your other online stores on a scheduled basis. This keeps every eCommerce platform in sync.
To download the Shopify module in Fishbowl Advanced, go to the Plugin module under the Integrations module group and click Install next to Shopify. Then close the Fishbowl Client and restart the Fishbowl Server. When you reopen the Fishbowl Client, you will find a Shopify module under Integrations.
The next steps to set up the integration must be done in your Shopify admin page. Follow steps 1 through 8 in Fishbowl’s Shopify Documentation article to create a custom app, select scopes for the app, and obtain your API key and token. Then go to the Shopify module in the Fishbowl Client, click the Settings button on the module toolbar, and enter the Store Name, Store URL, API Key, and Password (Admin API access token) for your Shopify account. Once you test and save the integration, you will be able to import sales orders, payments, and products. You will also be able to export sales order fulfillments, products, and inventory updates.
An easier way to integrate with Shopify is via the Fishbowl Commerce module in Fishbowl Advanced and Fishbowl Drive. Once you create a Sellware account, you can connect to your Fishbowl account and then set up integrations with multiple eCommerce platforms, including Shopify.
